Step By Step Tutorial to use JSS Information Portal - Wave Version

This tutorial teaches you how to add and use JSS Information Portal Application in your Google Wave Account and how to make best out of it:

Step 1: The first step is to add JSSIP-WAVE into your contact list. So just open your Gmail account, Click on manage contact and add the following e-mail address 'jssip-wave@appspot.com'.Click on save to save this e-mail id.



Step 2: Now sign in to your Google Wave account through url: http://wave.google.com

Step 3: Create a new wave by clicking on the link New Wave on the Google Wave Window



Step 4: To use JSSIP-WAVE you need to add JSSIP-WAVE as a participant into your newly created wave. So just click on "+" button to add a participant (It will provide a list of contacts available to you),search for JSS and then click on JSS Information Portal. Now you are ready to strive the functionality of Info-Centre using your Wave account.





Step 5: Now to view top five notices of Info-Centre just create a blip and write [notices] (note the brackets).If you need help or to view list of available keywords type [help].

So here we are with Waves and the debut is with JSS Information Portal –Wave Version (Experimental). Experimental!! Yes because we are still enhancing it to strive the full functionality of Wave for best of it.

With JSSIP-WAVE you can now see top five notices of info-centre as a blip on your Google Wave account. So now you don’t have to load the complete Info-centre site just to see the notices. To use JSSIP-WAVE just add jssip-wave@appspot.com in your contact (with name JSS Information Portal) and start waving with JSS as there are much more functionalities to explore.

Technical Overview:

JSSIP-WAVE is actually a robot, an application or an automated participant that can interact with a Wave thorough the Wave protocol (HTTP interface) and is written using python language.
